Business leaders and owners… How many of you were devastated when you were a young child and it was so cold outside on Halloween that you had to wear a coat over your costume? Now, how many of you are devastated that your employees are not engaged?
Exactly.
Herein lies why, according to Gallup, 70 percent of U.S. workers and 87 percent of global workers are disengaged – leaders do not make employee engagement a priority. What do leaders make a priority? Customer satisfaction, expense reduction and profits. These elements are all very important, however, leaders forget that it’s their employees who make or break these results. For this reason, disengaged employees offer the greatest untapped potential for you to improve profitability and performance. Period.
As business executives and business owners, you chose to be a leader – a dealer in hope. With that choice, you signed up for a huge responsibility – to ensure your company succeeds.
